International Snooker Returns to Pakistan

International snooker will return to Pakistan from 4th – 9th March for a six-nations tournament at the Pearl Continental in Karachi.
The home nation will be joined by players from Egypt, Iran, UAE, India and Thailand and will consist of two players from each nation.
The Pakistan selectors have selected the top six players from the countries current ranking list to go to a pre-event training campin Karachion the 28th February. These players are, Mohammad Asif, Sultan Mohammad, Mohammad Sajjad, Naveen Kumar Perwani, Abdul Sattar and Sohail Shahzad.
The PBSA President said, “These cueists have been selected on the basis of their ratings in the latest ranking chart. They are the top six cueists of the country at the moment. They have been directed to report for a training camp in Karachi starting on February 28.”
A Pakistan Sport Board official said that not only would the Pakistan people get to see some top cueists in action but it would also go a long way to reviving International sports in the country.
