The2011-2012 Lucasi Hybrid Cues All American Tour – presented by the American CueSports Alliance (ACS)– showcased Stop #21 – the annual Valentine’s 8-Ball Massacre - at Q’s Sports Bar & Girl in Port Charlotte, FL, Saturday, February 11.
The $265-added handicapped 8-ball tourney on 7-foot Valley bar boxes drew 17 players. The winner’s side semi-finals had Willie McBride (Fort Myers, FL) defeating Dave Calleja (North Fort Myers,FL) 4-3, and Albert Baker (Port Charlotte, FL) defeating Bill Eisenhard (Bradenton, FL) 4-0.
The loser-side quarter-finals included Shawn Collie (Port Charlotte, FL) defeating Wayne Agnew (Venice, FL) 4-0, and Rick Madaffer (Naples, FL) defeating Ken Coulter (Punta Gorda, FL) 4-3. The winner’s-side finals featured Albert Baker clipping Willie McBride 4-3. The loser-side semi-finals had Rick Madaffer defeating Shawn Collie 4-3. Then Willie McBride became the loser’s-side finalist by ousting Rick Madaffer 4-2. The tourney finals saw Willie McBride defeating Albert Baker 4-2 in the first set, but losing to champion Albert Baker 4-3 in the deciding set.
By virtue of Albert Baker being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 9-Ball singles entry into the 2012 Lucasi Hybrid ACS Nationals at the Tropicana Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS. Mindy Lyles (Punta Gorda, FL) won the raffle for the Lucasi Hybrid Cue.
